Bintan, Indonesia

Bintan Island or Negeri Segantang Lada is an island in the Riau archipelago of Indonesia. It is part of the Riau Islands province, the capital of which, Tanjung Pinang, lies in the island's south and is the island's main community.

Bintan is lined with a coast of 105 km, and is popular with visitors for its beach resort and recreational activities like snorkeling, jet-skiing, wind surfing, canoeing, sailing and diving too.

Bintan’s dive sites are quite untouched, becoming more popular only recently. The area around Bintan is not very deep so it is good for basic scuba courses.
